The IAAF World Championships in Daegu is not only the globe’s premier track-and-field competition, the technology being used inside the venue should also be a draw.
All athletes and staff members will be mobilized by electric and hybrid cars, such as this one, within the stadium.
The staff and volunteers at the event will also have access to a Segway for a faster and more eco-friendly way to get around the stadium.
And on the field, the sand that splashes after an event like the long jump,.. will only take 30 seconds to re-flatten it as this electric measuring instrument records and organizes the pit simultaneously.

Meanwhile, athletes taking part in the discus throw, hammer throw and javelin hurl their respective objects tens of meters away.
It usually takes several minutes just to bring them back to the spot, but at Daegu Stadium a radio-controlled car will pick them up and bring them right back.
